Reuben Silverbird, musician, speaker and social and community entrepreneur

J. Reuben Silverbird: The son of a Nedhni Apache Wise Man, and Cherokee Medicine Woman.

Unlike most Natives in the 1900's, his parents were highly recognized and praised thespians, singers and musicians in the southwestern states of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

His first appearance on stage came at age 6: a path where he has remained and distinguished himself ever since.

He has appeared on Stage, Film and TV in the USA, Europe and Asia, with stars such as: Diana Ross, Eartha Kit as well as solo one man shows, singing his own original compositions.

He plays guitar, flute and other percussive instruments during his Native Spiritual Musical Concerts.

He travels to the Four Corners of Mother Earth, with The Universal Peace Federation.

He is attached to the United Nations as an NGO, (Non-Governmental Organization);

he is only one of the countless women and men Ambassadors who speak on behalf of

"Love and Peace throughout the world today."

He has been invited to speak and received plaudits from "The International Spiritualist Federation" as well as from Los Angeles Roy W. Dean "From the Heart Productions" for his original film work production in process: "Spiritual Words of Wisdom".

Mr. Silverbird is also an accomplished Orator, and has spoken at leading Universities such as:

Columbia, Stanford, in Vienna, Austria and Geneva, Switzerland.

His subjects are intertwined with words of wisdom, and always a touch of humor that he learned from his father; by sitting in, as a child, and listening to him speak on delicate Religious issues with Bishops and other Catholic Clergy Officials, as well as Politics with leading Politicians of that era.

As a result of this training, his mind is gifted with a wealth of material that helps him
be at ease with any size audience or in the company of Dignitaries such as:
Governor John B Connelly, President Arafat, The Dalai Lama, Bobby Kennedy and Governor Clinton, when he decided to campaign for the Presidency.

Countless other City Officials from major cities on his world travels have greeted him and applauded his dedication to his work of love for peace amongst all peoples.

J. Reuben Silverbird 'Walk in Beauty' Sacred Peace Concert

J. Reuben Silverbird is coming to Australia in September/October: the son of a Nedhni Apache / (Chippewa) Medicine Wise Man, and Cherokee Medicine Woman, Reuben was born blind. His parents were highly recognized and praised by thespians, singers and musicians, from the regions based in the southwestern states of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. His Mother (a singer and healer) and Father (a performer in music and acting) had fruitless visits with Eye Specialists; finally, they brought their son back to a Traditional Medicine Man, and performed a sacred Indian Ritual - the four-day ‘Blessing-Way Ceremony’ (faith in the Creator, prayer, and incorporating hot water bathing into the ritual from thermal springs, from a holy place in New Mexico). At the age of four and a half, Reuben’s sight was restored. From this day forth, Reuben was considered a miracle-child. In having been born blind, the young Reuben Silverbird developed the deep intuitive ‘spiritual’ energy early in his life; it was shortly after his sight was returned to him, he witnessed a horrific accident involving his Mother - he began to have the first of several visions that would change and further deepen his path, an became the precursors into his deeper understanding of the world of spirituality.

Silverbird

The group "Silverbird" is a Native American Indian Family that consists of J.Reuben, Mark, Perry and Gil Silverbird. At the age of five, four and three, J. Reuben took his sons worldwide on various singing tours to teach them the ropes of the trade. The Tonight Show, Mike Douglas, a Channel 13 Special, a Capitol Recording CD, a Columbia Recording CD and now finally a CD that EWTN picked up as their July Artist Spotlight expresses their belief in the One Triune GOD. With the singing gift of the Holy Spirit, you can hear and feel the uplifting praise harmonious sound portrayed as they sing each song joyously for GOD.

Each song energized by their versatile playing is fun filled with funk, groove and melodic hooks to touch the sensitivity of the soul. The song, "I Am the Rock," written for John Paul II, is scripted right out of the bible. The song "Father Ed" was written for a most holy reverent Priest who is no longer with us, that is, if you don’t believe in Saints. The song, "Pray Pray Pray Together," the Blessed Mother’s call and answer to humanity is Silverbird’s main ministry forged in the hope of someday seeing a world pray together. The ballads equally spread out throughout the CD keep the calmness of the Holy Spirit within your heart meditating upon GOD and His Son Jesus. Mark Silverbird who wrote the title and main song "Jump and Shout the name of the LORD" saw the revival of the group Silverbird slowly evolving and so it is that Silverbird is reborn in Christ’s name.
