Man Australia continues to explore the world of "The
Great Yankee Promoters", with this look into
what make the Behrens machine tick.
Bill
has been involved in wrestling and TV since 1980,
when wrestling was first starting to build a massive
following on Television, and Australian were just
starting to see the odd WWF match on Channel 9's Wide
World Of Sport (that probably won't mean a thing to
the Yankees)!
After
achieving great things for the A-List of American
companies, Bill started his own operation, Show Business,
Inc.
Today
he owns and operates NWA Wildside, which has been
kicking some serious goals in the US, and it is even
seen in a variety of counties via subscriber TV.

Wildside is a serious force in the world of pro wrestling.
Bill explains, "At one time we served as the
"development" territory for WCW. We promote
approximately 100 shows per year, and produce weekly
TV. We are operated professionally, and the "ring
work" we feature is high quality. Quite simply
we are not a typical Independent Wrestling company".
Bill
Behrens is not the typical wrestling promoter either.
He works tirelessly long and hard, and answers his
e-mail and phone almost continuous. This guy is even
contestable, and far removed from those promoters
who hide out when the going gets tough. Bill is a
straight shooter, no BS kind of guy, who is passionate
about his work and looking after his loyal fans, whilst
growing the business.
Working
in with other promoters, as opposed to working against
them, is partly responsible for Behrens success in
wrestling. Unlike many promoters, he speaks highly
of other promoters, like Jeff and Jerry Jarrett, Vince
McMahon and the like.
Bill
respects his talent, what the fans want to see, and
is a fan at heart.
There
is indeed no question that Bill Behrens is one of
the great Yankee promoters.
